Day 98 Report

.Day 98 - 1/9/07 - Cruising Renmark

Steve's Report: What great weather. It is a day off too with Dave Alexander, his son Kurt and the KSB manager from Adelaide, Alan Mott all coming out. The guys turned up around lunch time, we had an obligatory beer and then it was off down the river. We all had a great time and actually got 7km clocked up for me.

The caravan park had no cabins left so the lads had two options: a motel or a tent with us. Kurt was firm in that it was to be camping. We only had one spare sleeping bag and a duvet so the boys went into town to buy a couple of fart sacks. There seemed to be enough stuff to go round in the tent because there was a thunderous noise all night. This was very welcome as it showed Jonathan that his father is not all that bad after all.

Big Dave was shouting dinner and when it came to order there was a choice between 300g and 500g steaks. The decision was 500g I think on the basis that the little ones must be for girls. Anyway, a good feed, a few drinks (and only a few it was) and everyone was asleep probably long before the city boys would normally be used to.

A special thanks:
When Dave arrived he had with him a card from the YWP's at AWA Sydney. It was great to get the card. Thanks guys, I really appreciate your thoughts.
